The Pilgrim's Progress: Legacy Edition, Leatherbound Gift Set
The Pilgrim's Progress: Legacy Edition, Leatherbound Gift Set
John Bunyan; ed. Lauren Ducommun
Many beautiful versions of John Bunyan's work have been produced over the past three centuries. Often these versions included wood-cut illustrations from some of the finest artists of the day, and yet many of those versions are out of print and few heirloom quality editions exist today. Our desire was to honor the rich legacy of illustrations of The Pilgrim's Progress with this new edition.
Some of the special features of the Legacy Edition include:
- Unabridged text with carefully updated language
- 150+ vintage illustrations
- Foreword by Dr. Michael A.G. Haykin
- Cover design by Stephen Crotts
- Heirloom quality leather cover, gilded edges, and ribbon page marker
- Full ESV Bible references in margins
- A frameable Kraft envelope
- A 12 x 8” double-sided deluxe map
- Seven 6 x 8” illustration prints from the book
Our hope is that, as this story has impacted generations of Christians, this edition will continue the legacy of this book for many generations to come.
Endorsements:
"I first read The Pilgrim’s Progress as a teenager. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve read it since. All these years later, this spiritual allegory still resonates deep within, as I track Christian’s engagement with foes, friends, fools, and failures, on his journey to the Celestial City. With Christian, I have learned to trust alone in the sole sufficiency of Christ’s atoning work, to delight in the surpassing worth of Christ’s excellence, to know the heart-changing effect of God’s gift of faith in Christ, to resist the constant temptations and allurements to depart from the narrow way, to watch for doubt and despair, to cultivate prayerful dependance on God’s Word, to practice regular repentance from sin, to value fellowship with God’s people, and to remain focused on the glory yet to be revealed. It goes without saying, therefore, that I am thrilled to see this beautiful Legacy Edition produced by Lithos Kids. My prayer is that it will introduce a new generation of believers to this timeless treasure."
—Stephen Yuille, Professor of Spiritual Formation and Pastoral Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
"One of the most printed and popular books in the English language, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress is available in a multitude of editions. But I venture to say that there are none currently like this with its sidebar references to Holy Scripture and inclusion of the splendid illustrations that adorned a major Victorian edition of this enormously influential work. A valuable, and hopefully valued, possession for every family."
—Michael A.G. Haykin, Chair and Professor of Church History & Director of The Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary & Professor of Church History at Heritage Theological Seminary, Cambridge, Ontario.

Whether you are reading Bunyan’s classic for the first time, or rereading as a maturing saint, I pray you’ll be refreshed anew in the steadfast love and faithfulness of our triune God.
